Guide To Furnishing Your Manhattan Apartment
A month or so ago, I picked up all my stuff and moved from Seattle to NYC. Upon landing, I was very excited and anxious to see what my life would be like in the near future as I prepared to situate myself in one of the biggest cities in the world. I have to admit, it was overwhelming, frightening, and oftentimes discouraging as the cost of living was unbelievably high at times. I did what I could to save money in many aspects but when it came to furnishing my small studio apartment, I really had to put in some extra work.
First of all, my apartment in Seattle was rather nice. Two bedrooms, large kitchen, living room, all adding up to roughly 1,600 square feet, I enjoyed the space I had and all the great furniture I collected over the years. When I started looking into residing in NYC, it came to be very quickly that there was no possible way to move any of my furniture to NYC as a couch would most likely fill up half the 350 square feet apartment in NY.
With no other options, I made the choice that most adults would laugh at. I decided to purchase a bunkbed. The loft bed was more than practical. It featured a full size mattress lofted above an office desk. This way, I was able to fit in two furniture pieces into the space of a full size bed. Other options that were available to me were futon bunk beds. A couch is something of a luxury piece to me as there is no space for a couch. But a would have made that possible to me. While a traditional futon bed would have served the same purpose, a bunkbed enabled me to keep where I sit to watch TV and where I lay down to sleep separate.
With comfort in mind, I had to buy the best bunkbed mattress I could find. I soon found an amazing selection of mattresses that would perfectly fit my loft bed.
While many adults, myself included, would have chuckled at the thought of having a bunk bed as an adult, when there is no alternative option, it is very practical. If you could overlook the jokes, I would highly suggest anyone a bunk bed furniture piece if you are in need of saving some space. bunk bed mattress visit now.
